Lobster is now validated on Scaleway.

Data souvereignty

Where your platform is run matters.

Where you run your platform is no longer just a technical choice. It can be a security, regulatory, and sovereignty decision too. A platform that only runs one way limits your manoeuvrability. Lobster gives you the flexibility to choose for yourself.

One less GDPR variable

Where your servers sit isn’t the whole story. The provider’s jurisdiction matters too. Choosing an EU provider subject to EU law reduces your exposure to political disruption outside the EU.

Control over sensitive data

§38 BSIG puts cybersecurity responsibility at management level. You need to know what you’re running and who runs it – particularly true for KRITIS operators.

Fewer layers to guard

NIS2 brings supply-chain security into scope. You need visibility into the systems you depend on – because every layer you don’t control is a layer you can only vouch for second-hand.

No vendor lock-in

The Data Act makes switching easier. Your platform shouldn’t make it harder – with the same product across all deployment model, your provider choice can adapt as your priorities change.

deployment models

Pick your deployment model.

Lobster gives you the flexibility to choose the model that best fits your infrastructure, team, and operating requirements. You get the same product, releases, and support with all three.

Private Cloud

Your cloud account – Scaleway validated

The platform installs and operates successfully on Scaleway infrastructure, in a private-cloud setup you own and run. Your account, your contract, your firewall rules.

Operated by: Your team
Data location: The region you choose
Provider: French, iliad group · Paris zone
Product support: Full, from Lobster

On premise

Your own data centre

Get the full Lobster platform in your own environment. On-premises is a first-class deployment, with the same releases, features, and support as every other model.

Operated by: Your team
Data location: Your data centre
Network reach: Whatever you permit
Product support: Full, from Lobster

Lobster Cloud

Operated by us, in the EU

If you would rather not run infrastructure at all, hand it to us. With the Cloud Self-Service Portal in release 26.3, routine operations happen on your timeline: restarts, firewall changes, maintenance windows and a full audit log.

Operated by: Lobster
Data location: EU
Product support: Full, from Lobster

The Commitment

Flexibility by design.

Customers shouldn’t have to fit their infrastructure around the platform. Lobster is built to support new environments as they need them – and Scaleway is only the start.

Three first-class deployment models

On premise, private cloud and Lobster Cloud get the same capabilities, the same release and the same support. Nothing is bolted on as an afterthought, and investment doesn’t lean toward one model.

One checklist, every time

We run the same functional tests and produce the same three artefacts, regardless of the cloud. So when we say something is “validated”, it means it’s been through the same checks every time.

The list is growing

Validated targets follow real customer requirements, not vendor partnerships. Scaleway, and EU Sovereign Cloud are only the start. So watch this space…

THE AI LAYER

AI on your terms.

Choosing where your data lives means little if the AI reading that data is a fixed vendor default.

The platform supports bringing your own LLM via Lobster MCP, so the model that processes your data is chosen in line with your compliance and cost requirements. Thanks to Lobster’s Headless Platform API external tools and AI agents can now access the platform on a read-only basis, with MCP server wrapping coming soon.
